CONFIRMED: Ohara Davies vs Josh Leather Off!

New opponent announced for Davies

Frank Warren and Queensbury Promotions card at London’s O2 Arena on June 23rd has suffered further disruption today as yet another fight has had to be altered.

British super-lightweight prospect, Ohara Davies (17-1,13KO) had been scheduled to fight fellow rising prospect, Josh Leather (13-0,6KO). However, due to personal reasons Leather had made the decision to take a break from boxing.

Davies, who’s only career defeat thus far was to fellow rising star, Josh Taylor will still fight on the card. Instead he takes on Congo born Paul Kamanga (21-1,12KO). On the face of things Kamanga’s resume does look respectable. However, his career lacks a well known name. He did however claim the WBC international super-lightweight title last time out. Beating Christopher Sebire (29-9-1) in November of last year.

The bout was originally slated to feature Billy-Joe Saunders in a defence of his WBO world middleweight title against St. Helens native, Martin Murray. However he withdrew due to a calf injury.
