Christian Kinsiona gets title shot

Sheffield star has opportunity to win area title

By Bryan Connolly   - @Intuboxing

Christian Kinsiona (6-1-1) tomorrow night has the opportunity to fight Harry Matthews (15-30-2) for the vacant Central Area Super Middleweight title at the Magna Centre in Rotherham.

Kinsiona "The Grenade", steps into the ring on the back of three consecutive victories with two of them wins by stoppage. I had the opportunity to watch Christian in his last bout when he battled Curtis Gargano. That night he looked aggressive, ruthless and full of confidence.

Matthews comes into this contest without a victory in the last six contests, but comes into this fight as a fighter with a lot of experience, which in his own right can be a dangerous thing.

Kinsiona has tweeted, "Imagine starving a lion for 8 weeks and then letting it out of its cage. Well I am that lion on the 28th September I'm going to eat."

Bryan's Conclusion

In April I attended my very first event since I have been writing articles and getting more involved. The first fight of the night was Kinsiona vs Gargano. Watching him coming into the ring and how technically great he was I knew he would go on to bigger fights and go for a title soon.

I wish him all the best for this fight and if he gets the victory will be looking forward to seeing him celebrate with his family and friends.

Also Christian's brother Levi (2-0) is a hugely talented performer and big things could come the way for both of these Sheffield brothers.
